ABOUT THE WDC
Here at Waikawa Dive Centre we have a full retail shop, fill dive tanks and hire dive gear. We're open Mon-Fri from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Check our Facebook page out for after work share-cost dives for certified divers only. We are currently not offering dive training or dive trips.
Our water temps are about 13-18 degrees Celsius so a wetsuit is required. Our hire suits are warm, 7 mm two piece quality suits.
There is plenty to see in Queen Charlotte Sound, with a coastline of more than 40 km, and many little bays on either side. Pulling into a bay you will hear native birdsong, and there are often Little Blue penguins, dolphins, seals, and seabirds to see on the way out.
Oh, and by the way, snorkellers and non-diving companions are welcome too.

SCHEDULED TRIPS AND DIVE TRAINING:
Book a snorkel or dive trip if you are visiting Picton on a cruise ship, and we will pick you up and drop you back.
NB: Trips are subject to minimum numbers and need to be pre-booked to ensure staff availability. If minimum trip numbers have already been reached it might be possible to join a trip close to the scheduled time, but to avoid disappointment it pays to book yourself or your group in early.
